A flocked mat is where a process called “flocking” is applied to the mat instead of paint. This process adheres and cures a soft material, made of wool refuse, to the mat. It results in a raised, velvet-like texture that is long lasting.

What is flocking? Flocking is a method where adhesive is pressed into the mat and then tiny fibers are electrostatically placed onto the adhesive creating a felt like coating that is long-lasting and won’t rub off like paint.

MAT CARE
We recommend you keep your mat dry and under a covered area to protect against discoloration. To clean just shake or vacuum your mat. Our classic coir mats are made of the natural fibers from the outer husks of coconuts. These doormats are great for scraping dirt off your shoes. Please be aware the natural fibers will more quickly break down in direct sun/rain we recommend to use them in a dry, covered area. The printing is flocked instead of painted so the writing is fade resistant. **ACCESSORIES IN PICTURES NOT INCLUDED*** Please Note: If you are purchasing a mat as a gift, you will need to convey the mat care instructions to the recipient.

I freaking LOVE it!! I get constant unwanted visitors so I can’t wait to see how the sign helps. I also wanted to add an additional little phrase and seller did so beautifully! I hung it from a loop but also put craft velcrod on the back so it won’t blow around. 12/10 would buy this again!!
